JLL is one of the biggest real estate consulting firms in the world. Being a corporate, most of their offices across the globe try to achieve some resemblance with each one. On the one hand, as interior designers, we had to take care of the branding, which was so powerful and on the other hand we had to also consider the local habits and requirements. It was a challenge as well as an opportunity. JLL had some standards world-wide as far as the functionality goes. They had a working culture, which we had to keep in mind. They had an open office concept where most people didn’t have a designated place and the design had to consider this aspect. Also, their corporate colours (in this case, Red and Black) had to be highlighted. We made sure that we used the bold colours in such a way that it didn’t look too gaudy. While, most of the office had a white backdrop, we used Red and Black in certain elements, which looked very elegant and served the purpose as well.
