This was a project of renovation and interior designing. Our scope here was not only the new architecture design but also the execution of the project as an interior designer. The most challenging part of this project was that it was a very old building in one of the poshest locations of Mumbai, where carrying out execution work was extremely difficult. On top of that, we had to demolish the entire apartment internally, which was constructed almost 60 years back and redesign for a young couple who wanted it to look very modern. To demolish the whole thing and to execute in a stipulated time was not easy. Even the design had to consider the fact that the old apartment was to be revamped into something which was fundamentally very different. To give the client a very modern design we introduced materials which were appropriate and long lasting. We kept the overall theme very minimalistic but used a lot of props in terms of artifacts and elements, which made the apartment look very classy and elegant.
